Milnerton Lagoon

One of the most identifiable features of Milnerton is its lagoon, formed where the Diep River enters the sea, with palm trees adorning the lagoon banks. The Diep River meets the Milnerton Lagoon as it reaches the wood bridge to the island, after flowing through the Rietvlei Wetland Reserve.

A popular spot for bird watchers and photographers alike, for the 173 species of wild birdlife to be seen including whitebacked ducks, which are common seasonally.
