• One of the most identifiable features of Milnerton is its lagoon, formed where the Diep River enters the sea, with palm trees adorning the lagoon banks. The Diep River meets the Milnerton Lagoon as it reaches the wood bridge to the island, after flowing through the Rietvlei Wetland Reserve.

  A popular spot for bird watchers and photographers alike, for the 173 species of wild birdlife to be seen including whitebacked ducks, which are common seasonally.

• Milnerton Golf Club opened in 1913 as a six-hole course, and has since developed into the world-class 18-hole championship course that it is today.

  The “9 out, 9 in” Links type layout is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the West side and Rietvlei lagoon to the East and provides a golfing experience unique to South Africa.

• The Milnerton Lighthouse, commissioned on 1960-03-10, is located on Table Bay shore in Milnerton, South Africa. Its red sector covers Robben Island.

• The Milnerton Canoe Club has its clubhouse on what was a small triangle of unoccupied land on the bank of the Milnerton lagoon next to the Wooden Bridge, belonging to the Milnerton Golf Club.
