The Milnerton area of Cape Town includes Cambridge Estate, Century City, Du Noon, Joe Slovo Park, Lagoon Beach, Milnerton Ridge, Royal Ascot, Sanddrift, Tygerhof and Woodbridge Island.

Milnerton had its own municipality from 1955 to 1996, and assumed a coat of arms in October 1963 (registered with the Bureau of Heraldry in February 1968). The crest was a red demi-horse and the motto Per mare per terram.

Table Mountain National Park is one of South Africa’s most visited nature reserve tourist attractions. Milnerton is the location of two nature reserves which are owned and managed by the City of Cape Town. The Table Bay Nature Reserve, which consists of 7 parts, includes Milnerton Lagoon, Milnerton Beach, and Milnerton Racecourse. The Milnerton Racecourse Section is situated inside the race tracks of the old Milnerton Racecourse.

A birder’s paradise, the Rietvlei Wetland part is a large wetland in the floodplain of the Diep River between Milnerton and Table View that drains into Table Bay via the Milnerton Lagoon.

The wooden bridge, now a national heritage site, links Milnerton to Woodbridge Island and Milnerton’s beach – well known for its view of Table Mountain and is a popular surfing spot. The beach is managed by the Milnerton Surf Lifesaving Club.
The island also hosts the Milnerton Lighthouse, Milnerton Golf Course, and Milnerton Canoe Club.

Most Milnerton homes are within walking distance of Paddocks Shopping Centre, Centrepoint Shopping Mall, both primary and high schools, medical facilities and hospital, and more! Close by is the largest shopping centre in the Southern Hemisphere, Century City’s Canal Walk including it’s ‘Waterfront’, and the Ratanga Junction theme park.

Along the West Coast to Blouberg we have more than ample restaurants, bars, shopping complex’s, etc., plus superb beaches.
