Cape Town 12 ONERUN celebrates its 5th anniversary this year – 2019. The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN will take place on Sunday, 19 May 2019.
Woodbridge Island, Milnerton hosts the start of this fun run. It is a fast, flat 12km fun event brings together runners from all walks of life to experience a run built for fun. Following the coastline past key landmarks, finishing in Bree Street at the FNB Portside building in the heart of Cape Town.
Entrants are invited to sprint, run, walk, power walk, … do it in style… Cape Town style. In suits, shorts, stilettos or tekkies… in a team or on your own. Run it your way!
The FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN is the first of three events that make up the FNB ‘Run Your City Series’. Joburg will host the 4th annual FNB Joburg 10K CITYRUN on Tuesday, 24 September 2019 while Durban will close off the series with the 3rd annual FNB Durban 10K CITYSURFRUN on Sunday, 13 October 2019.
Hailed as South Africa’s most loved 12km road race, the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN has been awarded status of the Bronze Label by the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF).

23-year-old Kenyan, Morris Gachaga, won at the FNB Cape Town 12 ONERUN in 2017 in a time of 33:27 to set the fastest time ever recorded over the 12km distance.
