The course, surrounded by natural beauty, is a pleasure to walk. The course is in one of the windiest parts of Cape Town, and being flat and without trees offers a unique South African golfing experience that can be a challenge to even the most experienced golfer.
On most holes one hears the waves breaking just beyond the sand dune, and playing the holes back to the club house one has breathtaking views of Table Mountain and an abundance of birds on the Rietvlei.
The course is always in outstanding condition. Being built on a sand base the excellent drainage that makes it a favourite venue among golfers in the Cape’s winter months when other local courses are unplayable.
The Milnerton Golf Course’s 5-star East facing lounge is situated just off the beach and offers splendored sunset views over the ocean toward the Mother City – with Table Mountain to the South and Robben Island to the North.
